Article 76 provides for the office of Attorney General of India he is the highest law officer in the country. He represents Central Government in the Supreme Court and give advice to Government of India in judicial law.

Attorney General of India is appointed by President of India. Attorney General of India should  be a person who is qualified to become Judge of Supreme Court of India.

Term of Attorney General of India is not fixed. Attorney General of India holds  his office during the pleasure of President of India, and constitution does mention about his removal process.

President of India determines the Salary or remuneration of Attorney General of India.

Attorney General of India does not have the right to vote in the Parliament of India, all other points given about  Attorney General of India are correct.

Attorney General of India is not debarred from private practice, he is not government servant, and he is not full time counsel of Government of India, he Attorney General of India should not defend a person in criminal prosecutions without the Government’s Permission.

Article 165 proivdes for the Advocate General of the State he is the higest law officer of the state.

Advocate General of State is appointed by Governor of Concerned State, he must be qualified to become judge of High Court, or he must have held judicial office for 10 years or been an advocate for 10 years in high Court.

Advocate General tenure is not fixed he holds his office during the pleasure of Governor of the concerned state. And constitution also does not mentioned about his removal process. State Governor can remove him at any time.

Article 243-i deals with State Finance Commission.
