Progeny-  Offspring, descendants.

Siblings  — Individuals having same parents.

Polyhybrid cross- A breeding experiment dealing with more than two traits at a time.

Inbreeding- Production of offsprings by mating of closely related parents such as cousins.

Outbreeding- Production of offsprings by mating of unrelated parents.

Heterosis or Hybrid vigour- Greater vitality and vigour of the heterozygous individuals produced by outbreeding is called heterosis.

Atavism—Occasional reappearance of a remote ancestral trait in some individual. Ex. Short tail in some babies.
