ANEUPLOIDY

ANEUPLOIDY  — IT INVOLVE THE ADDITION OR DELITION OF     ONE OR FEW CHROMOSOMES FROM THE USUAL DIPLOID SET OF CHROMOSOMES.IT IS OF TWO TYPES

  1. Hypoploidy—– loss of chromosomes   2n-1
  2. Hyperploidy—-Addition of chromosomes 2n + 1

MONOSOMY—-Loss of single copy of chromosome 2n-1.

TRISOMY——  Addition of single copy of particular chromosome 2n+1

TETRASOMIC— An aneuploid having four copies of one chromosome.2n +2

NULLISOMIC—- An aneuploid lacking a pair of homologous  chromosome.2n -2
